Kirsters Baish| With today’s confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, the Democrats must have realized that their plan to ruin his reputation totally failed. With their delay tactics and last minute sexual assault allegations, liberals seemed to do a better job of bringing Conservatives together rather than causing damage to Kavanaugh.
Judging by recent polls, it seems that American voters are coming out in large numbers to support Republicans in next month midterm elections. And now Democrats and Republicans alike are coming together to condemn Senate Democrats, especially Dianne Feinstein, handled the allegations against Justice Kavanaugh.
Those who generally identify as moderates and independents in the political world are coming forward in droves to vote Republican. Late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s daughter-in-law came forward to explain her take on the matter. While Justice Scalia, who passed away in 2016, may have been more conservative, his daughter-in-law is far from it.
“I’ve always considered myself politically moderate: I am unapologetically pro-life, but my views on affirmative action, Black Lives Matter, and gun control made me sympathize strongly with Democratic perspectives and occasionally led to arguments with my husband and father-in-law,” Adele Scalia wrote in an Op-Ed piece that was published by The Federalist.
When you think of a modern-day liberal, Adele Scalia pretty must fits the bill. She is a female “person of color” who immigrated to the United States from Trinidad and Tobago. She even made note in her op-ed piece that she had never found comfort in the Republican Party.
Due to the way the Democrats treated Kavanaugh, Scalia changed her mind.
“I have become a unicorn,” Scalia wrote. “All it took was Democrats’ treatment of Brett Kavanaugh over the last few weeks to turn me into that elusive creature: a minority, immigrant woman who supports Republicans.”
Mincing no words, Scalia declared that what she saw happen over the last few weeks “convinced me that Democrats are not who they claim to be.”
“The party that established itself as a champion for the voiceless, powerless, and wrongfully accused, betrayed its values and launched a vicious attack on Kavanaugh that left him voiceless, powerless, and completely incapable of defending himself,” she wrote.
Scalia pointed out something that a few others have also noticed: Despite constantly pretending to stand for the rights of the accused when it comes to urban minorities, the left betrayed those principles when it came to a conservative white male.
“Against all logic and good faith, they released uncorroborated allegations of sexual misconduct to the public, counting on the backdrop of the ‘Me Too’ movement to make them that much harder to criticize or ignore. I still cannot reconcile these actions with the social and criminal justice reform platforms that Democrats campaign on,” she wrote.
Then, she made a shocking revelation, explaining that she now has the desire to become an American citizen… so she can vote Republican.
“These events opened my eyes to the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party,” Scalia explained, bringing it all back to the root of the problem.
I wonder how many other liberals the Democrats turned into Conservatives over the last couple of weeks.
