Mexico Develops ‘Police Force’ in Order to Stop Illegal Aliens from Crossing Its Southern Border

Kirsters Baish| We have caught wind that Mexican President-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is devising a plan in which they will strengthen the country’s border by putting together a specialized police force. This police force is meant to stop drug-related gun violence and the influx of illegal immigrants crossing the nation’s southern border.

Bloomberg spoke to Alfonso Durazo, who Obrador picked to establish the force. He explained that it won’t be a small effort.

The police force will be placed on the northern borer in addition to the southern border.

Durazo stated, “We’re going to create a border police force that will be highly specialized.”

“They need to apply the law,” he explained. This includes putting a stop to illegal immigrants and human traffickers from making their way into the country.

As reported by the Associated Press, over 200,000 people have been killed in Mexico since 2006. Most of these deaths were drug related in one way or another.

In 2017, Mexico’s national murder rate skyrocketed to over 25,000 killed. This year is already on track to exceed last year’s number. Compare this number to the murder rate of 2016 in the United States, which is the most recent number out there. The murder rate in 2016 in the U.S. was 17,250… even though our country is almost three times bigger than Mexico.

Western Journal reports:

Last month, Obrador responded to the Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance” policy on illegal crossings — which resulted in children being separated from their parents — by promising to defend illegal immigrants from Mexico and other countries trying to enter the United States.

The then-candidate called the Trump administration’s crackdown “racist” and “inhumane,” El Universal reported.

He then urged Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to take the matter up directly with Trump, and also solicit the United Nations commissioner for human rights to intervene.

“Soon, very soon, after the victory of our movement, we will defend migrants all over the American continent and the migrants of the world who, by necessity, must abandon their towns to find life in the United States. It’s a human right we will defend,” Obrador stated.

After Obrador’s win last week, President Trump explained to the press that they had spoken on the telephone. “I think he’s going to try and help us with border,” Trump explained.

“We have unbelievably bad border laws, immigration laws. The weakest in the world. Laughed at by everybody in the world,” President Trump continued.

“Mexico has very strong immigrations laws, so they can help us until we straighten out our immigration laws, which have been bad for many, many years — decades. We’re going to have them taken care of,” the President stated.
