Flashback: Three Thugs Mess With Wrong Granny at ATM… Find Themselves in a World of Hurt

Kirsters Baish| Liberals are all about removing guns from the hands of Americans. They want firearms off the street entirely… but the issue with this sentiment is that criminals will always find a way to break the law, meaning that if guns were made illegal, criminals would still find a way to get their hands on them. This would just leave law-abiding citizens totally defenseless. Case and point: just look at a story that took place in Britain in 2017 in which an old lady proved why allowing citizens to carry a firearm is so important. Things would have been a lot easier for British grandmother Winifred Peel if she had been carrying a firearm the day she was attacked, but luckily she knew how to defend herself anyway.

Apparently Piper Dumitru, Felix Stoica, and Florin Geblescu didn’t get the memo not to mess with old ladies who may be able to beat them down. The three thugs targeted Winifred Peel, who was 77-years-old at the time of the attack. She was stopped at an ATM when the thugs approached her.

Peel was processing a transaction at the ATM when a man appeared to her right. He knocked her over, and she quickly realized that there were two other men working to attack her. She remembered that she had seen the three men exiting the bank earlier in the day. One of the men tried to reach around her and withdraw £200 from her account.

Peel didn’t wait for the police to come save her. She jumped into action herself, grabbing the man who was trying to steal her money by his collar. She smashed his head into the ATM. Before the men escaped, Winifred was able to get in a few good shots. The men were picked up by authorities not long after the attack.

Police were able to identify the men by Stoica’s blood-covered face. Peel had repeatedly smashed his face into the ATM during the attack. All three men were charged. They all served jail time for the attack and would-be robbery. Peel explained that she thought the men would just get a slap on the wrist.

Peel stated to The Metro that since the attack, she hasn’t been out on the streets alone so much. “They did not care about how this would affect me. I would definitely say this has changed my life, I will never have the confidence I once did. I only hope my confidence returns.”

Peel should be proud of the way she defended herself in a scary situation. Without a firearm, she did a spectacular job of getting herself out of harm’s way.
