“Embarrassed Liberal” Takes the Stage During St. Louis Rally to Tell Crowd Why She Will Be Voting for Trump in 2020

Kirsters Baish| We’ve been hearing more and more about liberals who have switched sides of the aisle in terms of politics. This is another story of a liberal who has recently changed her opinions on President Donald Trump and all that he stands for.

Unfortunately, a huge issue in our country today is the opioid crisis. As a mother, myself, I can’t imagine anything worse than losing a child. After one mother went through the most traumatic experience of her life, losing her son to drugs, she decided to cross over party lines to support President Donald Trump in his fight against America’s opioid crisis.

The mother, whose name is Terry, called herself an “embarrassed liberal,” who is now voicing her support for President Donald Trump due to his stance on border security.

Terry made the comments during a St. Louis area rally in support of border security this past Saturday, which was hosted by the Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft.

Hoft, who was emceeing the event, told the audience that Terry was a gardener who had recently lost her son to a drug overdose.

“I want to start by saying I did not vote for Trump,” she started off saying.

“Will I vote for Trump the next time? Yes,” she continued, eliciting cheers from the audience.

“I am an embarrassed liberal, and what started me … was the opioid crisis, because my reflection on my son Jason. Donald Trump did what Barack Obama didn’t do, what Clinton didn’t do, what Bush didn’t do: He declared an opioid crisis.”

“The headlines read, ‘Trump declares opioid crisis, allocates no funds.’ That’s not his job. He did his job. Throw it to Congress. They figure it all out. But I thought, ‘What are they talking about? This man just did a great thing.’”

“You have your drugs coming in from the borders along with your illegal immigrants,” she continued.

“I am very much in favor of a diversified country. One of my best friends is Bosnian. We are lucky to have him. He’s a proud American.”

She reminded the audience that he “did it the right way.”

Terry spoke about a conversation that she had with a veteran who stated that “we need that wall. Other countries protect their borders.”

Conservative Tribune reports:

The emcee of the event then noted that she had lost a son and had another son “struggling with the same issue.”

When she took the microphone again, she said “this is not a pity party, because I speak for many, many, many people.” She added her husband was a veteran who shot himself because of post-traumatic stress disorder from Vietnam and mentioned veterans’ issues as another concern she had.

These, indeed, are the stories we don’t hear about. They’re also the stories the Democrats don’t want to hear about.

Just last week, when the Trump White House tried to have a briefing on border security, they interrupted it before it could begin.

More and more Americans are beginning to see the light, and are beginning to understand just why a border wall is so crucial.
