Kirsters Baish| One of our country’s most well known comedians decided to come forward and explain why he would be jumping off the Trump-bashing train. Dave Chappelle has announced that he would not be laying into our Commander in Chief in his routines anymore. He went on to criticize and anti-Trump movement which has been taken on by the comedy community. He told the New York Times that he won’t be part of the “chorus.”
Chappelle spoke about some of his fellow comedians, and casually brought up President Trump by saying, “But the whole Trump thing makes it harder for comedians. He’s so skewed, it’s hard to find an angle that sounds fresh,” he went on. “If you talk about him, it’s almost like you’re part of the chorus and not a soloist.”
Now, it’s no secret that Chappelle is far from a conservative, but the man at least shows a little respect for our POTUS. His his Netflix special, the comedian barely ever takes a stance on Trump’s presidency. This truly separates him from other comics.

The legendary comic has been taking some serious heat recently because the left has called some of his jokes “transphobic.” On top of that, liberals were shocked and dismayed when Chappelle called out Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election saying that she had some dirty tactics. He even went on to defend Trump.
Chappelle also explained that he had already known previously that Hillary Clinton was “not right” prior to the tape having been released to the public.
The Left even claimed that Trump admitted to sexual assault on the video. Chappelle defended Trump by exclaiming, “Sexual assault? It wasn’t. He said, ‘And when you’re a star, they let you do it.’ That phrase implies consent. I just don’t like the way the media twisted that whole thing. Nobody questioned it.”
Chappelle appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and while he didn’t praise our President, he refused to give into bashing him:
