Kirsters Baish| It has been reported that a Customs and Border Protection agent amed Fernando Grijalva spoke to CBS News, saying that we are currently witnessing the worst immigration crisis that he’s ever seen during the entirety of his career.
The Daily Caller reports that “CBS evening news interviewed Grijalva in Arizona Thursday, after agents apprehended 180 migrants attempting to gain access to the U.S. He said the area has become a popular spot for illegal border crossings in recent months.”
“I’ve seen six different presidents the time that I’ve been with the Border Patrol, and this is the worst crisis that I’ve seen,” he stated.
Grijalva didn’t have any qualms about calling the issue a “crisis,” and he made it very clear just how severe the matter was.

“You actually will use that word, crisis?” the CBS reporter questioned. “Yes,” Grijalva answered.
The Border Patrol agent went on to say that border agents were still working through the partial government shutdown. “They believe that strongly in the mission and they know that they that we have a job to do,” Grijalva also stated.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi moved to postpone the state of the union address due to the government shutdown while Trump pulled Pelosi’s security detail for her trip to Afghanistan.
President Trump said that he won’t be looking for another venue for his scheduled State of the Union address, however he is ready to give the speech “in the near future.”
